  1. Kia Ora Thomas,

Congratulations, you have completed all 60 activities for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. You have completed all of the activities to such a high quality as well, ka pai! I have really enjoyed reading your posts and seeing all of your encouraging comments on other SLJ learners’ posts.

Thanks for sharing such an inspirational quote for your last blog post. It’s simple but it has a very strong message. You can absolutely do anything that you want to do. Have you heard of the saying, the skies the limit? These quotes are all about trying your best because you can do whatever you put your mind to.

One of my favourite activities was also the vehicle making one because I got to see the amazing creations that all the SLJ learners came up with. I’m sure Tayla will pass on your feedback about including more activities about other countries not just New Zealand. I really like learning about things in New Zealand because there is always so much to learn. Maybe next year the Summer Learning Journey could have one activity about each country in the world! Did you know there are 195 countries in the world. That would be a lot of activities to do, that’s more than triple the amount we had this year!

Remember you can still earn extra points by writing quality comments on other SLJ learner’s blogs. You have until Friday 24th January until the Summer Learning Journey finishes for another year. Go and check out some of the other clusters, there are some really interesting blog posts ! Here’s the link to the Twitterfeed where all the recent blog posts pop up.

  2. Kia ora Thomas,

Firstly, a massive congratulations for finishing the Summer Learning Journey!!! That is an awesome achievement, and I hope you are proud of all the hard work you've put in over the last few weeks.

I have loved reading and responding to your posts, and I am so glad you have enjoyed participating. You've provided some really good suggestions on how to improve the programme too, thank you.

I really like the quote you chose for your second activity, and your explanation about what it means to you. What is something you dream of doing one day? This would be a great quote to remember if you ever doubt your ability to achieve that dream!

You've done such a great job on all of your activities, and I am so proud of all the time and effort you have put into this programme, Thomas. Well done!!

Keep commenting and getting those points, and enjoy the rest of your holidays!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla

  3. Hey Thomas

I am Molly and I am from the toki pounami region. I am living in Grey mouth do you know where that is?

CONGRATULATIONS on completing the summer learning journey for 2019-2020. You and all your teachers should be so proud. This is such a massive achievement.

I don't really agree with you with the dance activity. I don't like the costumes but I do agree that they were really good and deserved to win.

That quote is a very good quote that lots of people should have in mind. I like how you have added an image o this activity and the rest of the post. With this slide I have no helpful information because I think you did well.

would like to congratulate you again and hopefully you will keep up the good work for the rest of the year.

    Molly :)
