Those are some good ways to help raise money for the fire fighting cause in New South Wales. It’s very sad that the fires are raging on and are even worse than they were before! The fires have burnt more than 5,000,000 hectares of land so far, which is almost six times bigger than the fires in the Amazon last year. It’s very heartwarming to see all of the fundraisers people are putting together to help support Australia during this time.
That’s great that you did such a great random act of kindness for your community. All that rubbish you picked up is now contained at a rubbish dump rather than being in our environment where it will negatively affect animals both on land and in our seas. I remember when I was younger, my mum taught me to always pick up any rubbish that you see when you are walking. That way we got exercise and the environment became a little cleaner!
