Polygon Maths

This week we learnt about Polygon and Geometry.  Today  I  created a Polygon Pal and we also had to build a mansion using polygons only.  A polygon is a shape with NO curves and NO breaks or gaps . An extra challenge was for us to make sure that is to make our picture symmetrical.  My favourite part that I liked was to have lots of colours. The easy part was to use the polygon shapes,The hard part was to make it symmetrical.

  2. Hi Thomas! My name is Mia from Yaldhurst Model School. I like your post and it's really eye catching with all the different colors that you used. Even though you said that it was hard making it symmetrical, it looks pretty good to me. Next time you should add it onto the slide and maybe tell us about your picture.

    Great work!
    Mia

  4. Hey there, Thomas, my name is Parwin and I am a year 7 from Yaldhurst Model school. I like how you
added lot's of information about the task that you had to do and to me, your drawing does look
symmetrical so you did a great job. This remined me of the time I tried doing this but it was pretty tricky
for me to make sure it was symmetrical. Maybe next time you could add how long it took or what you
would change next time if you did it again but other than that you did a great job!
How long did it take you to do that?

Looking forward to your next blog posts,
    Parwin

  5. Hi there Thomas, My name is Abby and I am a year 6 from Yaldhurst Model School, YMS for short.

I like the way you described what a polygon is for the people that don't know what a polygon is.

This reminds me of the time I only knew how to use shapes and I always wanted it to be symmetrical.

Next time you could describe why you wanted to make your image look like that.

How long did it take for you to make?

    Kind Regards,
    Abby.
